The Egyptian Journal of Solids is the official publication of  The Egyptian Materials Research Society (Eg-MRS). The journal accepts original research articles for publication in the field of solid state science and materials science from researches and scientists of all nationalities. Emphasis is placed on experimental and theoretical works, which contribute to understanding of the properties and behavior of condensed matter. In addition to regular papers, the journal will publish review articles that can either be submitted or solicited by the editorial board.

General areas of interest are the electric, magnetic, optical, thermal, mechanical and structural properties of solids; thermodynamic of condensed systems; electronic structure and defect properties; thin films, surfaces and interfaces; amorphous and nano-scale materials; phase transitions; preparation and structural characterization of new and advanced materials.
