Sharm Al-Shiekh - Sinai Location of The Conference
Sinai, by its geographical location, is the junction between Africa and Asia. It is shaped like an inverted triangle, with the apex in the south at Sharm El-Sheik and Ras Mohammed. Sinai… a place made unique by a combination of sanctity, time-long history and diversity of natural beauty. It came to be known as the Land of Turquoise "Ard El-Fayrous". Along the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, soft golden sands surround bays of clear blue water rich with rare marine life and exquisite coral reefs. In the south, towering mountains with their beautiful reddish coloured rocks are surrounded by huge valleys leading to the Holy Mountain. Sharm El-Sheikh overlooks the Gulf of Aqaba and is about 54km from Ras Mohammed and 480km from Cairo. It is both a summer and winter resort due to its moderate climate all year around; the mean temperature in Sept. and Oct. is 24-32 oC. It is the city of all those seek tranquility and love the sun.
